If laws of nature may be arbitrarily complex, he argued, the very concept... becomes <a href="https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/vacuous#Adjective" class="extiw" title="wikt:vacuous">vacuous</a>. What difference would remain... if the laws meant to explain them were as complex as the phenomena they are meant to explain?<br>Laws of nature <i>must</i> be <a href="/wiki/Simplicity" title="Simplicity">simple</a>.
